PeaceHealth announces 26 laid off in Whatcom County

PeaceHealth notified the Washington State Employment Security Department that 94 employees across several facilities, including 26 at the following Whatcom County locations, would be laid off on April 12, 2026.

    They are probably already understaffed.

      I work here: we are! They recently cut service staff like linens, supplies. So on night shift, if you run out of sheets or urinals…the House Supervisor personally has to run those items to each unit.
      And now they are trying to cut phlebotomy and others.
