New business license applications filed with the Washington State Department of Revenue (DOR) show Countryside Farm & Market is the listed occupant for retail locations currently operated by CHS Northwest and reported to be for sale.
Ferndale LLC, doing business as Countryside Farm & Market, applied for a business license at 1720 LaBounty Drive in Ferndale. This is the site of CHS Northwest Ferndale Farm & Home.
Nooksack 7 LLC, doing business as Countryside Farm & Market, applied for a business license at 102 Nooksack Avenue in Nooksack. This is the site of CHS Northwest Nooksack Express & Gas.
Both entities list Jaspal Dhillon and Rashpal Singh as owners. These are the only 2 locations listed by DOR for Countryside Farm & Market.
The licenses include active and pending endorsements for the following:
- Grocery store beer and wine
- Cigarette and tobacco retail
- Pesticide and seed dealer
- Nursery retail plant seller
- Liquid fuel and LP gas meters
- Scale operation
CHS Northwest filed a Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification (WARN) notice with the Washington Employment Security Department on March 5, 2026. The filing reported 57 positions would be affected by the sale of 5 retail locations in Whatcom County.
Layoffs are scheduled to take effect on May 5, 2026. CHS Northwest officials stated the organization is changing its focus to energy and agronomy solutions.
