Janicki Industries announced June 2, 2026, the selection of Great Falls, Montana, for a new $800 million manufacturing campus expansion. According to a Janicki Industries press release, the facility will add 2 million square feet of production space over 10 years, with plans to create 1,000 jobs within 5 years and more than 2,000 jobs upon completion. The company is purchasing 180 acres in the AgriTech Park, with construction scheduled to begin in July 2026 and the first phase is expected to open by the end of 2027.
The company, founded in 1993, operates more than 1 million square feet of production space across Washington and Utah and employs more than 2,000 people. According to Janicki Industries, the site selection follows a several month evaluation driven by growth in aerospace, defense, and space programs.
This expansion follows an April 16, 2026, multi-state growth announcement by Janicki Industries. In that announcement, the company stated it was expanding operations by 270,000 square feet and adding more than 250 jobs across Washington and Utah, while conducting feasibility studies in Idaho and Montana for the future 2 million square foot facility.
According to the April 16, 2026, announcement, Janicki Industries increased its Washington footprint to more than 1 million square feet through multiple investments:
- purchase of a 40,000-square-foot facility in Mount Vernon, named MV1, to add up to 75 jobs
- installation of machining equipment, autoclaves, ovens, and clean rooms at its 251,000-square-foot Bellingham facility, purchased in 2022, to add 125 jobs
- construction of Building 12, a 162,000-square-foot facility at its Hamilton campus
In the same April announcement, John Janicki, president of Janicki Industries, stated that while Washington remains the company home, expansion is slowing in the state due to recent executive and legislative regulations, causing the company to pursue large-scale growth out of state.
The out-of-state strategy also included a 70,000-square-foot expansion of a 100,000-square-foot manufacturing site in Layton, Utah. According to Janicki Industries, the Utah expansion adds milling equipment, office space, warehouse operations, a shipping dock, and more than 50 jobs, with groundbreaking scheduled for early summer 2026.
Prior to the 2026 multi-state plans, Janicki Industries expanded its facility in Hamilton, Washington. According to a Janicki Industries announcement, that expansion was projected to create 350 jobs.
