3 Fairhaven buildings are scheduled for construction through 2030

Utility relocating is underway for 3 new buildings – a residential and 2 mixed use (residential and commercial) – that will be located on property north of Mill Ave and west of 11th Street in Fairhaven. Dominion Sustainable Development Corporation of Bellingham is the developer of the project referred to as the Fairhaven Center.

City of Bellingham staff say they worked with the developer to ensure several items of public benefit were included in the project design, including on-site public parking, affordable housing and preserving access to the South Bay Trail. The city granted a variance allowing the buildings to be 4 stories tall, higher than the prior limit of 3 stories.
